Phim xoay quanh cuộc chiến quyền lực và những âm mưu gia tộc sau một biến cố kinh hoàng. Sau đám cưới xa hoa tại châu Âu, chủ tịch tập đoàn Minh Lãng - Vương Tấn Đào - cùng hai con trai và cháu trai bất ngờ qua đời trong một vụ tai nạn. Sự kiện này khiến gia tộc họ Vương rơi vào cảnh hỗn loạn như "rắn mất đầu". Nhân vật chính là một nữ bác sĩ phẫu thuật (do Tuyên Huyên thủ vai) phải đứng ra gánh vác và đối mặt với những tranh giành khốc liệt trong nội bộ gia đình và tập đoàn.
