Phim kể về Thiên Diệu, một yêu long ngàn năm bị người mình yêu là Tố Ảnh phản bội, lột da rút xương và phong ấn khắp nơi. Mười năm sau, linh hồn của anh thoát ra và gặp được Nhạn Hồi, một thiếu nữ có trái tim mang vảy hộ tâm của anh. Cả hai cùng nhau trải qua nhiều biến cố để tìm lại các bộ phận cơ thể của Thiên Diệu và đối mặt với những âm mưu trong giới tu tiên.
